The WHO declared Coronavirus COVID-19 a Pandemic on the 11th of March, and the public health situation escalated quickly all around the globe. Very important precautions have been made by both governments and local communities to stop the spread of the virus. We are aware that there is a certain unpredictability surrounding the next few months, resulting in people not wanting to make plans for the summer in advance - understandably.
Some of you might want to participate in NorWHO 2020, but are doubting whether it will make sense for you to pay/book the whole trip to Copenhagen due to the unpredictability of the current situation.
We would like to draw attention to the fact that you can still sign up for NorWHO 2020, but we have decided NOT to ask for payment until further notice.
This means you do not have to pay for anything until public health circumstances are stable.
It is the position of the Organising Committee of NorWHO 2020 to continue planning under the assumption that the conference will be allowed to take place in August, 2020. We are constantly monitoring the events surrounding the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and will continue to abide by the recommendations of the Danish Government as regards private events. Currently, there is no recommendation that events in the second half of the year should be cancelled.
Stay safe and make sure to follow the guidelines from WHO and your Health Authorities.
